Subject: Every Hero Needs His Own Theme Music
Colossians 1:9 - "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding."
Whether it's Batman, Spiderman or the Cartwrights of Bonanza, all heroes have theme music. You know how it goes, just as the situation looks bleak and dire, the music kicks in and the heroes are revived and able to do extraordinary things. I thought about that recently during the Hurricane Rita evacuation exercise. I was running out the door on my way to evacuate my daughters from the area and I felt like I was facing a bleak and dire situation on the roads and then I had to think about Rita. The odds were against me it appeared. Then all of a sudden as I was leaving the house, I remembered that I needed to get the music playing. It was like Batman getting on the Bat-phone. With the girls sleep and loaded into the minivan, I ran back into the house and sent out a quick email to The Big3 for their intercession and the music started playing. From then on, I was doing extraordinary things.
Some may find it humorous when I talk about how huge The Big3 crew is in making things happen in this world, but I know without a doubt the impact that they have had on the world stage and that I am able to do much and have done much only through the prayers of the Big3 people who knew what I was facing and determined to seek God on my behalf. That is why before I make a big move, I make a Big3 move. Of course it's not that you're the only people on the planet who are seeking God, it's just that you are those types of people period. I'm not the only one with a "Big3-type" prayer group either and everywhere you have intercessors, you've got people doing extraordinary things. It's not by the people's power or might, but by God acting on the behalf of the prayers of others.
I thank God for the Big3 people and how they've affected my life and the lives of countless others that remain unknown to them. Continue to do what you do because you're all heroes in your own right and God will do amazing things and as you grow in Him and remember, don't go it alone because every Hero needs his own theme music.
