Subject: Who's Running This Show?
Isaiah 46:9-10 - "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:"
As everyone tries to profile the Washington D.C. area sniper, it's interesting to hear everybody talk about this being a person who wants to have control. This simply shows you how man once again in his sin always recreates the downfall of Satan, as we desire to be "God" in our lives. While there is much fear and frustration, much anxiety and panic in the area, we can be comforted in knowing that nothing is being done outside of the view of our Almighty God. Not only that, but in fact, He is the only one who is in control of all of this. He is God and there is no other. This sniper feels pretty good right now as he destroys lives and he is getting a feeling of being "in control", but if God's word is true and we know that it is, without repentance, his end will be met violently and God will be shown as the ultimate Controller.
Let's thank God for His control in all of our lives and yield to Him in those areas that we have tried to control ourselves.
