Subject:  Whose Truth Ya Gonna Believe?

Genesis 3:3-4 - "But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:"

It's the same ole story today.  God says one thing and Satan says another.  So who are you gonna believe?  Sure we would always answer God, but think about the last time you had to make this type of analysis of a situation.  Remember Satan's alternative is always disguised as the easiest, most pleasurable, or the natural thing to do.  When faced with situations like forgiving someone to keep a marriage together or being wronged by someone who meant you much harm and taking it, these are hard options.  That's why it matters whose TRUTH you're gonna believe.  God has laid down His markers and sets them before us plainly in His word.  When we try to twist that to conform to what we want to do in a situation, then we have listened to the serpent telling Eve that God has lied and that he himself, the master deceiver, is telling the truth.

Every decision we make should be based on God's truth and what He wants done.  This means we've got to hear his voice and heed it.  Then we are to make no time for the conversations with Satan after knowing God's truth.  After all, is there a chance that He is gonna make your option easier?  Sure there is, but does that make it an option for us?  Of course it doesn't.

Let's believe God's truth because there is no other truth.
