Subject:  Clergy Appreciation Month  

Jeremiah 3:15 - "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."

I didn't even know that there existed such a thing as "Clergy Appreciation Month," however, it's a good idea because it's quite easy for us to take these people for granted.  These are people who have given their lives for our benefit, spiritual edification and encouragement.  Oftentimes, they receive little thanks for it, and in most cases, they are not looking for it.  They understand that their reward comes from above. 

I am especially grateful for my pastor.  There are many great and wondrous things that I could say about him, but above all, he is one of those pastors referred to in the scripture above.  There are a million reasons and a million ways to disagree with any pastor, or layman for that matter, but at the end of the day, we must be able to say that our leaders have the heart of Almighty God.  When that happens, then you will be truly fed from God and will have the understanding necessary to accomplish God's purpose for your life.

Today, and as often as possible, take time out to let your pastors know that they are appreciated.  For God has given us pastors according to His heart and we should be ever grateful.
