Subject:  Stay On His Side 

Psalms 124:1 - "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;"

I was talking to a friend one day who was having problems communicating with her ex-husband.  She wanted to resolve some issues between them and because he was unwilling to do it with her face to face, she asked that they see his pastor to resolve the issues.  Now without knowing any of the other details, that should be enough for us to say, "that sounds correct," and it is.  Why?  Because it follows directly in the path of how God says you deal with a Christian brother or sister with whom you have a dispute.  

In every situation, it is our responsibility to ensure that we are following in his path.  We can't predict the next dispute, but we can respond and deal with it God's way.  

Israel said that God was on their side.  In their situation, at that time, that was true, but like I told my friend, "stay the course, because when we do things His way, it's not so much that God is on our side, we are on His."
