Subject:  Blessings Happen

Romans 10:20 - "But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. "

It seems like everything this weekend went more smoothly than I could have ever expected.  It's so often that even as believers we are continually amazed at things that make us look at God and say, "hey, thanks for that."  Surely we expect His blessings, but when they come we are still overwhelmed by them.  Therefore, the verse above comes to mind.

The world sees thing happening in life that are out of our control and they justify it by saying, "well, stuff happens."  The Christian worldview is one that sees nothing out of our God's control and so we understand that things are not just arbitrarily happening, but are a part of God's plan for us.  Therefore, just as bad things happen, so too do blessings.

The truth of the matter is that God is always looking to bless us.  How many times have you been simply going about your day and suddenly God reminded you that He was right there beside you, ensuring that everything was going according to His providence.  That's when we realize that we really aren't in control of life and He is and while sometimes we face adversity, we also know that, "blessings happen."
