Subject: The Main Store
Luke 2:47 "And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers."
I recently purchased one of those really nice pocket pc's as they are called. It really is powerful. It is a computer in your pocket, hence the name, pocket pc. It allows for reading emails, playing videos, and running many programs that your computer normally runs. On top of that, it's a phone. It's got tons of capabilities also that I've yet to explore.
I'm really rough on things and especially gadgets. I'm usually carrying too much stuff at one time and my super PC Phone usually ends up a casualty of my overload. After having dropped the phone about 4 or 5 times, it started acting kind of strange and the battery wouldn't hold a charge for too long. I tried resolving it myself by changing the battery but it didn't work out. Finally I called the company and asked them what I needed to do and they directed me to bring in the phone and get it checked and since it was under warranty, they would just replace it if they couldn't get it fixed. Long story short, I waded through Houston traffic to get to the store and they told me that it was unnecessary to bring the phone in and that I would need to call a 1-800 number and they would check it out over the phone. Boy technology is great. They did too. I called and he simply told me how to reset the phone and it's been working fine ever since. Seems like the software had gotten twisted up a little. I'm sure my drops had something to do with it.
Today that's where many of us are. We're busy trying to figure out why our lives aren't running exactly the way they are supposed to. We run from church to church or from doctor to doctor to try to get our "problems" fixed. My problem with the phone is that I was calling people that I thought should have known what to do about the phone, but I should've just talked to the main store people myself. Isn't that the way we do God? If this church doesn't have the answer, I'll try another one. If this doctor can't solve my problem, I'll try another one. Perhaps my friend or neighbor who had the same problem can tell me how to fix mine. Oh my pastor should know the answer, after all, he's supposed to know the answer. People, why not just go to the "Main Store?" If you do, I'm sure you'll be astonished with the answers you receive. That's how they were with Christ. Because of Him we can, like my phone, have our lives reset. I got mine reset and its been working ever since. I went to The Main Store.
Today go to "The Main Store." It's not that your life hasn't been dropped and kicked around a few times, it's just that you haven't talked to "Someone" who can tell you how to reset it.
