Subject:   Christmas Is Earlier And Christ Is Later  

2 Timothy 3:13 - "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

I guess I can just plan on doing this devotional once a year until I'm gone or until time ends.  The stores hadn't even finished marketing Halloween and 3 days ago when I walked into Wal-Mart, there it was, the huge Christmas tree and all of the trappings of that huge retail holiday.  I heard people on the radio talking about having already completed their Christmas shopping.  And as you would have it, I've already received emails and seen articles about the companies who are taking the word "Christmas" out of their marketing campaigns.  I guess the holiday is good for money, but Christ must be bad for business.

Sadly, this is the way God said it would go.  There will be more deception and in general, mankind will get worse and worse.  It is clearly deception for people to believe that things go better if your remove Christ.  That is what the world will do and eventually, they will have their way.  Revelations talks about how many will suddenly wish for death when they see what this world is like without God and His Holy Spirit.

Today, beware of "The Holidays."  Whatever you do, make them a time of focus on Him; just Him and let's turn it around.  Let's see how little of the marketing and focus on worldly stuff we can put into it.  Lets make Christmas come later and Christ come earlier.
