Subject:  More Than Experience

Philippians 4:13 - "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Just the other day I was getting prepared for Thanksgiving dinner and I was talking about smoking a turkey on my grill.  My mom asked, "have you ever smoked a turkey before?"  I replied, "what's experience got to do with it?"  Frequently I've gone for job interviews where they questioned me about my experience in a particular area and I had a similar response.  My wife often sarcastically hints at my belief that there is nothing that I can't do.  I guess it's just my attitude but it's really so much more than that.

Some people use the scripture passage above as a cliche, but for me, I really do believe that if there is something that God wants me to do, then He will supernaturally empower me to do it.  The only question in my mind is whether or not God wants me to do this thing or that thing.

The bible is full of stories of men and women who had no experience or ability in an area but God was with them.  Moses, Daniel, Noah and many others who performed great miracles did it without any experience in the task that God had them carry out.

Today don't limit yourself to only the things you've done before.  You are capable of anything; anything God wants you to do for sure and when God is with you, you've got more than experience.  You've got POWER!!!
