Subject: Thanksgiving
1 Thessalonians 5:18 - "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
Every day is a great day to give thanks. It's also significant that we take time on this Thanksgiving day to identify that we are indeed thankful. We are thankful not just to be alive because we know to live is Christ and to die is gain, nevertheless we are thankful for life. We are thankful not just for being healthy, for we know that in whatsoever state we are in, therewith shall we be content. Nevertheless we are thankful for our sound minds and bodies. We are thankful for the food that He has given us for indeed the physical food may build our bodies, but it is His spiritual food that is our sustenance; sustaining us daily as we partake of His body and His blood through acceptance of His life and death for us.
Thanksgiving is the will of God for us. Stop searching for God's will for your life and know that as you give thanks in all, you are fulfilling His will for your life.
Today enjoy the
food but remember, it's not about the turkey. It's about the thanks.
That's what we should be giving.
