Subject: Don't Get Confused By The Facts
2Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight:"
2Corinthians 4:18 "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen
are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
We've been trying for almost six months now to get a contract going on this church property that I'm trying to purchase. It has been most difficult and much of it is because the seller has other ideas about the property. Driven by greed and a desire for dishonest gain, he is sending me through many loops. However, he's really not the issue. As I always say, God uses the circumstances of life to develop our faith. Several times over the last six months, this fellow has made extraordinary statements about the cost of the property and why he couldn't sell it to me and other things and I return to the table each time to discuss what I know that God is going to give to us, yes, that property. The last time I went to see him, God impressed upon me the story of Moses as he journeyed to see Pharoah, each time knowing that Pharoah was going to harden his heart and reject him and his message, but because Moses was talking to God, he was able to overcome the rejection until God had His way.
Our problems in this life as believers aren't with other people or even with these overwhelming circumstances that we face. If we are talking to God, then we are seeing with spiritual eyes and spiritual eyes don't look at the facts, because the facts can be confusing and are often misleading when God is at work. What looks true to the physical eyes can be 180 degrees off of the spiritual direction that God is going. The fact is a + b = c. However, God can make a + b = z anytime He desires such. We need to see how He is "computing."
Today, lets look at the things which are not seen, the spiritual things, the things that are eternal and not get confused by what we see with our physical eyes. Remember, we walk by faith, not by facts.
