Subject:  Lessons From The Ark - Obedience

Genesis 6:22 - "Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he." 

The story of Noah and the Ark is a great one among bible stories.  Its intricate detail of the dimensions of the ark vessel and the pairing and boarding of the animals and the provision for them is all simply amazing.  However, what can get lost in all of the miraculous aspects of such a dramatic event is the simple thought outlined in the passage.  Noah did all that God commanded him.  Well, no wonder he was part of the miraculous.  That's what happens when we do our part.  Our part is not to do miracles, although we can be used in such.  Our part is obedience.  God does the miracles - we simply obey.

Next week will begin a series in lessons from the Ark, and there are many, so stand by for that, but today, know that obedience built the ark.
