Subject:  Everyone A Critic, None To The Work

James 1:25 - "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."

It's always funny to hear them broadcast the latest president's approval rating.  Evidently the current president is at an all-time low for his presidency.  They even went on to identify a few areas in which their is "major disapproval," such as the war in Iraq, gas prices and miscellaneous.  I guess the miscellaneous people just hate everything he's doing.  One thing that I never hear in the same survey is solutions from the "disapproval" crowd.  I wonder what response you'd get if you asked those people to switch jobs with the president and then solve those problems.  Yes it's easy to be a critic, but it's a totally different thing to go to the work.

I wonder if the survey people above are like the people in the verse of James 1:25.  They don't work, they just go about their business and perhaps they know what needs to be done, but they just don't do it, because it's so much easier to talk than it is to walk.  Seems like everyone's a critic and there is none to go to the work.

Today let us as God's people be about the work.  We can talk about who is not doing what all day, but the time is here for us to go to the work, whether that is in church, outside of church or wherever we are.  It's all part of God's plan for us and in the end, this is "the man that shall be blessed in his deed."
