Subject: He Doesn't Hear Those Cases
Psalm 84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God."
Yesterday the Supreme Court in California upheld the ban on gay marriage that had been voted in by the citizens of California by a legislative amendment entitled Proposition 8. The California courts are notorious for repealing the will of the people in it's decisions, but this time they let the people's decision stand. It's kind of ironic that the state that some call "The Gay Capital" would ban gay marriage at this time when more states seem to be adopting it. Of course most of those are at the hands of judges and not the people.
Believers don't always have their way in the courts here on earth, but there is a court where we know complete justice will be administered and it's not the justice that we look forward to as much as the rule of the Judge. In His courts, there is no argument about such matters involving sin. And while there are actually probably some believers who might support gay marriage here, they won't support it in His courts. See in His courts, those cases are thrown out before they ever get there.
Today we need to cry out for the living God to rule in our lives. He needs to not only be our future judge but to be our daily judge. We need to bring ourselves before Him and make sure that He hears our cases because all of this other crazy stuff going on in the world, He isn't even trying to hear that.
