Subject: First You Start Feeling It
Matthew 28:19a "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations..."
I'm still awestruck by the massive devastation of the cyclone in Myanmar and the earthquake that has shaken China. I keep both of these regions in my prayer and know that it is an excellent opportunity for ministry. Personally, I've learned that whenever situations and circumstances like this remain on my heart, God is preparing me for something and it us usually related to the thing that is on my heart.
I can recall in early 2003 as I sat at a bible study in Virginia with my friends and as we talked about the conflict brewing in Iraq, I really did have a burden for the opportunity to minister there. In the end or should I say, as it ended up, six months later, I found myself with an open bible talking to the people of Iraq in Baghdad.
When God places something on your heart, He does it for His reason and in the end it results in His glory. If you're trying to hear God and heed His direction, know that first you start feeling it and then He makes the moves. Before you know it, you're doing it. If you have a burden for God's word to reach all nations, know that you don't just go, He sends you.
