Subject:  That's A Mighty God 

Matthew 10:30  "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered."

I was mowing the grass with my lawn tractor.  We live on acreage so we have one pretty long strip to mow in front of the house, not to mention that I did the long strip across the street, which is the neighbor's property.  At any rate, I had finished cutting it and as large and long as the property is, as I was driving back in, I noticed one piece of grass sticking up out of this more than an acre-long strip of land.  I turned to it with the tractor to cut down this one blade of grass.  Immediately I thought about how God sees each of us out of the billions upon billions of people on this planet.

Verses like the Matthew passage above always speak to me of God's omniscience and omnipotence.  He knows the number of hairs on your head and when you lose one, or all of it, he knows the number of follicles you have.  Can you imagine how much God must know if He knows how many blades of grass there are in the world?  Then can you imagine how powerful He must be to be able to turn to each single blade and address it as if it were the only one?  That's a mighty, mighty God and today He is available to you.

If I can turn my whole lawn tractor to cut down one single blade of grass, think about how God can turn His mighty power to address that issue that you're dealing with today.   He not only knows mightily about it, but He's also got the power to cut it down.  That's a mighty God.
