Subject:  Resist Him...Always Resist Him

James 4:7 - "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

One weekend I watched the United 93 movie.  It depicts the events of 9/11 and particularly what probably happened on United Airlines flight 93.  As I watched the movie, I saw how the terrorists attempted to make the people believe that they had a chance to live.  They led them to believe that if they simply cooperated, no one would be hurt.  That's so much like Satan, not just in their evil intentions, but in his scheme of doing things.

Satan wants nothing more than for you to believe that if you cooperate with him that you'll be okay, when in reality, you're going to die a spiritual death.  The passengers on United 93 had to make a decision.  Do we let the terrorists determine our fate as we cooperate with them or do we seize the opportunity to resist their intentions and have some impact on the outcome.

The point is that Satan and evil are to always be resisted.  To live life ignoring either is to subject oneself to spiritual terrorism and the end thereof is never good.  There is much more to life than just the physical existence because many who are breathing, by their subjection to evil, have already died.  Resistance to Satan is the only way to truly live.   Resist him...always resist him.
