Subject: The Pre-Op
Hebrews 4:12 - "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
With my surgery scheduled for Monday, I have to do what's called a "Pre-Op." The Pre-Op is necessary for them to check all of your vital information, draw blood and ask about your medical history. It's necessary for them to have all of that information before the doctor opens you up for the operation.
God often does surgery on us and when He performs a "Pre-Op" its not for Him to get vital information necessary for the "cutting," it's for us to prepare for what He is going to do.
God's word does the cutting and God always provides those circumstances (the pre-op), for us to recognize how His word pertains to the situation.
Today you've all had surgery and the "pre-op" was for you.
