Subject: Yes, It's Broken
Leviticus 4:23 - "Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge... "
Yesterday I received the pictures from my recent biceps surgery. Initially I couldn't make heads or tails out of them, but as I studied them, I began to make out the ruptured tendon which had torn away from the muscle. Looking at the photos you could see no attachment to the muscle where there should have been one. Yes, I concluded, it's broken.
That's how it should be with us when God reveals sin in our lives. See most things in our lives often get broken long before we realize it. Once God gives us a picture, then we must agree with Him and say, "yes it's broken." To say that it's broken is to confess to "The Doctor" that we have sinned. This can only happen after we have that knowledge.
Today maybe you need a picture. God's always trying to show us the broken things in our lives. If you're going to figure out what's broken though, you've got to study the pictures. Once you see it clearly, surely you'll agree, "yes, Doc, it's broken."
