Subject: Get Some Business
1 Timothy 5:13 - "And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not."
Sometimes it's not best for us to have lives of luxury and leisure. Sometimes it's best if we have to daily go to work and daily have things we need to take care of that keep us occupied. I know someone now who is really going through it on this matter. Although it's not true, this person acts as though they have no real responsibility. As the verse above says, "wandering from house to house." You can also see how it leads to us saying things which we ought not.
God's plan for us is to live lives of purpose. For us to continually wander around idly as though we have nothing else to do or for us to do nothing everyday is against the principles of godly living and against God Himself.
Today, there is more than enough work to be done for God's kingdom. If we would begin to see everyday as a day to do such, then we would not spend our time in idleness. If you don't have some business, get some today, because if you don't, you're probably "speaking things which you ought not."
