Subject:  To See The Provision God Has Made 

Genesis1:21 "And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good."

I'm still amazed at the way God has so magnificently created life.  This was most recently illustrated in the baby rabbits that were born earlier this week in our garage.  It was only a few short weeks ago that one of my students asked if I would take these two rabbits off of his hands.  After asking the girls if they wanted rabbits, I picked them up and brought them home.  We then found out that we had a male and a female and we figured, based on their mating reputation, that they would have offspring pretty soon.  

The day before they were born, my daughter came home from school with an interesting revelation.  Some one told her that you would know that the babies were about to be born because the mother rabbit would start pulling out all of her hair.  Okay... The next day my wife came home from an outing and called me at work to tell me that rabbit hair was everywhere.  The next day we found out why.  The mother pulled out all of her hair to make a nice, cozy nest for her new offspring, as you can see in the photo.  

All of this put me that much more in awe of God.  Think about how he has put within the mother rabbit, the ability to provide for it's own through sacrifice of her own "clothing."  There's such a great message there, not only about the sacrifice of our mothers and others who care for us, but of the sacrifice of God on our behalf to take care of us.  

Today think about it.  If God has gone through all of that to ensure that baby rabbits are taken care of, imagine what He has done for each of us.
