Subject: If They Only Knew
1 Corinthians 2:6-8 "Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."

What happens when you get crucified? How do you go to the cross each time "the princes of this world" come at you? Do you take it as God's ordained plan for you or do you rebel?
Paul understood that the world would not be able to get the message that he was preaching and if you're preaching/living the message of a crucified Christ, they're not going to be able to get your message either and much like they did, Christ, they will crucify you. But that's okay. God's already got that all worked our for us and it's to our glory as it says in the passage above.
The world has no idea what we're talking about and we don't have to speak in tongues to confuse them. We speak the wisdom of God and it leaves them clueless. How could we, as believers, get so caught up into something that happened thousands of years ago to a man who was born like you and me. And how could we think that everything we would ever need was written in some book by a bunch of sexist, racist men as much of the world considers the bible? Ah, if they only knew.
Not only did the princes of this world not know, but the "Prince of this world" has come to blind others so that they are equally ignorant of the crucified Christ. Let us pray that we be used to convey the wisdom of God in every place that God places us because if they only knew...
