Subject: Oh To Graduate
Psalm 26:2 "Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind."
Well it's that time of year. Many graduations have already taken place and there are so many more scheduled at universities, high schools and at pretty much every school level across the country. At our high school we're all particularly proud of one student who made an amazing comeback after failing every class in her freshman year.
The main point about graduation is that it doesn't just happen. It only comes after hours, days and often years of study. Then after the study, there are the dreaded tests. The tests in the end determine your graduation status. We had several students who did all of the studies for the required years they were in school, but will not graduate because they failed one test. Of course the beauty of it is that they can always retake the test and graduate later. That is no consolation to the students who wanted to graduate with their class, but in the end, we all should just want to graduate.
God brings us test and we often don't want to take them. Of course we should understand that in His school just like in our schools, without tests, there is no graduation. That's why we should be asking for tests when we have studied and prepared. To ask for them prematurely will surely result in failure and we will have to repeat that grade.
Today pray for your own personal graduation. If you haven't graduated in a while, maybe you're just not taking the tests. Put in the study and ask for an exam today. Graduation is good.
