Subject:  The Difference Between Life And Death

John 9:4 - "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work."

My wife and probably most who know me, often muse about my energy and ability and the fact that I'm "always doing something."  She on the other hand gets exasperated with all she has to do.  She said one day last week, "I just have so much to work on."  I responded to her, "well that's the difference between life and death.  If we didn't have anything to work on and everything were fixed, we'd be dead."

My point is that God put us here to work His works, so we shouldn't be surprised that the world is all messed up and there are so many issues to solve along with our own personal issues.  That's why we're all here.  As we go about doing God's business, living out His plan for us, He solves the issues of life for us personally, for us as a nation and for us as the world community.

Everything you're experiencing today, the pain, the joy, the sadness and the fatigue is there to let you know, you're alive.  It might sound very simplistic, but the difference between life and death is basically that you're alive.

Today don't get upset that there's so much to do, relish in the fact that He's chosen you to do it.  You're alive so feel life; do something.  Wear yourself out and watch how God refreshes you.  Dead people can't do that.  That's the difference between life and death.
