Subject:  The Water

John 4:14 - "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

A friend of mine pointed out to me what was happening with my kids the other day.  I had explained how they were really into drinking out of my water bottle.  Even yesterday evening at the park it was evident.  Since I take a water bottle with me almost everywhere,  they were so excited to take a drink of my water after everything we did.  While at home, they'll see me using the bottle then ask if they may have a drink.  

What my friend pointed out is how God simply works out in the physical what is going on in the spiritual.  Not only were they asking me for the drink of water physically, they were asking me for the spiritual water.  God simply allowed me to see this in the physical.  Here's how I finally saw it.  Last night they were running late on going to bed and I was going to cancel their bible study game.  They began to beg to play.  Of course I couldn't refuse the opportunity and to see the joy on their faces as they answered biblical questions made it quite clear that they are indeed thirsting for the water that springs up into everlasting life.  

Today, what kind of water are you drinking?  Are you thirsty for more?  Ask Him for a drink and when He gives you a drink, you shall never thirst again.
