Subject: Yeah! Not Guilty!
Psalms 103:10 - "He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities."
Most amazing to me on the news of the Michael Jackson trial on yesterday was to see the emotion and the relief that so many people had with the return of the "not guilty" verdict. I mean one woman was releasing doves with each not guilty count. I saw a few other fans outside sobbing uncontrollably. Of course there were the pundits who continually reminded us that, "this doesn't mean that he didn't do it, just that the prosecution didn't prove their case." Duh!!! Isn't that the case in every trial? While many people get up in a frenzy about these sensational trials these days, the bottom line is that God deals out justice in the end and He's already found us all "guilty" before Him.
Another view I had of those people getting all emotional about MJ's not guilty verdict was to think, "I wonder if that's how the angels were when I gave my life to Christ." Were they having a heavenly party because although I was guilty, "He didn't deal with me after my sins" as the verse above says? I think so.
That's what people ought to be shouting about. All believers should just reflect on that and breathe an eternal sigh of relief because "the" trial is now over and the verdict...we're all "Not Guilty!!!" Hallelujah, we're not guilty!
