Subject:  They Have Their Values And We Have Ours

Proverbs 11:19 - "As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death."

I read a statement by Prime Minister Blair speaking about the terrorist act committed against his country yesterday and he stated that, "the perpetrators of the attacks were using terrorism to express their values and it is right at this moment that we demonstrate ours."

I thought those were great words and an example of how we, as Christians, should respond to crisis.  The world has many ways to hurt and harm us.  However, we are pursuing something greater than material and physical comfort in this world.  We are pursuing righteousness, which puts us at odds with many.  The perpetrators of yesterday's deadly attacks have a different pursuit in mind and that is a pursuit of evil but as the scripture says, they "pursue it to their own death."  

Daily actions show one's purpose, one's cause and one's pursuits in life, because we all ultimately seek after those things that we believe worthy of our affection.  Though some choose such evil pursuits should not overwhelm or deter those of us who choose a course of righteousness and faith.  The bottom line is, they have their values and we have ours and ours lead to life.   Lets demonstrate that.
