Subject:   Lets Not Call It Killing

Exodus 1:17 - "But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive."

I listened to a number of Presidential candidates proudly professing how he or she would always stand up for a woman's right to choose.  Then I sadly have heard discussion from Christians who can overlook this "small" matter because the candidates have great views on other issues.  I simply don't understand this one.  I'm sure much of it has to do with our secularized culture so that our basis for morality is diminished, but I wonder how many of us would vote for someone if they said, "I think women should have the right to kill their babies before they are born."  Why don't the candidates say that  if that's what they are doing.  Because, Satan wants to make sin palatable to you and many believers have bought it, comparing this decision of murder with issues like higher taxes, neglecting the poor and the budget deficit.

This message is not for unbelievers, but believers.  Believers need to fear God.  When we do, we will sometimes have to violate the "king's" commandments, as the midwives did.  See it was okay to kill babies at one time, but the midwives preferred God over man and would not kill.

Today we're more intelligent so we don't call it killing anymore.  We call it "A Woman's Right To Choose" and that allows people to be proud about supporting it.  Those who do so will be held responsible, not by a government that condones such actions as we currently do in the U.S., but by an eternal government which has condemned the action since the beginning of time.
