2 Chronicles 26:4 - "He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father...had done."

We've often heard people say, "that boy is just like his daddy."  Of course that is so often the case,

 but why is that?  Well just as we pass down our bad character traits, so too our righteous or good

 character traits.  

The book of Kings and Chronicles in the bible shows this to be true.  Quite often you hear it said,

 "he did as his father had done."  In some cases, this was a bad thing, but as the bible recounts the life 

of Solomon, it says it was a good thing.  

This is a huge burden to bear for all of us today because God will ultimately hold us responsible for the 

legacy that we leave.  Your influence will either be for God's purposes or against His purposes.  

Today we must all choose to do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.  Your descendants will be thankful.
