Subject: A Better Batch Of Dough
1 Corinthians 5:7 - "Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:"
For the new year I endeavor to be more Christ-like. That's it. No resolutions, no special promises like many who will start going to the gym or striving to lose weight. My only objective is to be more like Christ in everything that I do. Of course many people in the business world would say that this is not a tangible goal because I have no measuring stick and they are right. While the results may not be tangible to the human eye, the results or lack thereof will be clearly evident to Jesus Christ. After all, He is our ultimate accountability.
This year I will purge out the old leaven or yeast, which is our common day term, and become a new lump, but without the yeast. This year I will become a better batch of dough.
