Subject:   I Vote For God

Psalms 118:8 - "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."

Which candidate for President will really do all that he or she has promised?  Which one will deliver us from our "misery?"  Which candidate will make America all that it should be?  It's interesting to hear this kind of verbiage coming from all of the candidates and since I listen to a lot of talk radio, I hear commentators joining sides.  Two particular conservative commentators, who were once good friends, now have become bitter rivals as they demean each other over the support they each have for their candidate of choice.  They do it by talking about how the U.S. will be taken down if the other candidate is elected and how we will be overrun by terrorists, taxes and crime.

While it is good for us as believers to be involved in the political process, let us not join into that kind of nonsense.  While we may even prefer one candidate over another, lets not lose the reality that only God can deliver us from the misery before us, whatever that misery is.  In the end, all authority is given by God and whomever is elected is either sent for our judgment or for our blessing.

God is still the candidate of choice and it is better to trust in Him than any man running for office.  I pray that God has already been elected in your heart today.
