Subject: Friends

Proverbs 27:17 - "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friends."

What a friend we have in Jesus, but what about earthly friends?  The term friends is used often in identifying our new relationship in Christ and that's a cool thing, but if there's anything I've learned, it's that your circle of friends can determine if you're getting better of if you're getting bitter.  They can determine if you're walking more closely, or further away from Christ.  Today consider the role of friend for yourself.  Do you make those around you more keen to the things of God or do you pull them away.  

I pray that as you do this inspection, you not only see the role that you play to others, but that you identify the roles other people play in your life.  Today, let's sharpen a friend and "cut" the world.
