Subject: Fixing Our Troubled Society
Exodus 10:11 - "... go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; ..."
A book authored by Bernard Goldberg is entitled, "100 People Who Are Screwing Up America And Al Franken Is #37." It was interesting to read the list of people and his review of why they are causing our country problems. While I agreed with his views of many of the names and believe that they are in fact causing some of our societal ills, I don't think that these people represent the sum total of our problems in this country.
In the end, I think that the resolution of our problems will be the responsibility of those who serve the Lord with their whole hearts. While many are gearing up for next year's presidential election and choosing sides and positions on the issues, all believers should prepare themselves for the move of God in their personal lives. This will affect the way we stand on the issues of life and ultimately we will vote and take our stands accordingly.
Today if we are to fix the problems of America, we need to do more than point and blame, we need solutions. Any solution that comes from God will work for our troubled society. Go now ye that are men and serve the Lord and this will fix our troubled society.
