Subject: No Fear
Psalms 112:7 - "He shall not be afraid of bad news: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD."
With all of the current hype about war and terrorism and the economy and
who Joe Millionaire is gonna pick, well it's no wonder that, "men's hearts
are failing them." But that's the problem. We are to live in this world,
but not of this world. The passage above out of Psalms doesn't apply to
everyone. It only applies to that person who puts their trust in the Lord.
Now I know we're all Christians, but lets honestly ask ourselves, are we
afraid of what tomorrow may bring or do we wait in hopeful expectation that
tomorrow will bring the blessings of the Lord no matter what else is happening.
My advice is to turn off some of the daily news and turn on more of the
good news. Then when the "bad news" comes, your heart will not be shaken
because it will be fixed on an omnipotent, almighty, loving God who will
give us peace in the middle of the storm.

P.S. A little personal advice. Please do "not" go out and buy duct tape for your house.
