Subject: The Fight To Support Sin
Romans 1:32 "Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
While many will think that this devotional is political, it is not. However, I must point out that I simply find it amazing that we would see this in our country in my time. How rapidly can a country change its values.
Last month while campaigning I heard Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton fighting for the gay/homosexual vote. Clinton promised to be the first President of the United States to march in the Gay Pride parade. Barack Obama promised that he would immediately repeal the Defensive of Marriage Act. This act states that marriage in America is defined as the bible says, between a man and a woman.
This is what I call, fighting to see who can support sin. Clearly this must grieve the heart of God and it should grieve us also.
I think the scripture above says it all. Both of these candidates are professing Christians, who "should" know that they which commit such things are worthy of death and not support these acts. However, instead, they "have pleasure in them that do them."
Today I'm going to be out of step with a large portion of our country, believers sadly and unbelievers who feel like you can't say certain things because it will offend some. I will agree today with what God has said. Homosexuality is sin and those who support it are guilty of supporting sin. Of course I would never be elected in this country with that viewpoint, but I'm not running for office. I've already been elected as Ambassador to The King and it pays much better. We are required not only to abstain from sin, but also not to support it.
