Subject:  A Great Product With A Great Warranty

1 Corinthians 1:23 "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;"

I took my Chrysler Town and Country minivan into the service department on Monday to have them look at the windshield wipers.  While it was raining this past weekend, I turned them on and every now and then, they would collide with each other and get stuck in the middle of the windshield.  I knew it was a timing problem.  Yesterday I picked up the vehicle and entered a lengthy discussion with the service personnel about why I would have to pay for the wiper blades.  The car is still under it's factory warranty, but the windshield wipers weren't, even though the problem that caused the wipers to be damaged (the timing mechanism) was covered.  So we went on and on and I soon realized that this service person was trying to distance himself from the Chrysler company saying in so many words, " I know it doesn't make sense, but that's their policy."

I'm so glad that as believers we're not trying to sell a product we don't really believe in; well we shouldn't be anyway.  We don't have to make excuses for the God we believe in or try to distance ourselves from Him the way Peter did or the way this service person did from the company he was working for.

We preach Jesus Christ and while we may not like all of His policies, we should stick by them.  When we do we don't have timing problems because He's got all of our parts under warranty for eternity.
