Subject:  Face To Face With Sin

Proverbs 13:34 "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."

In an extraordinarily heinous case, Florida lawmakers are now filing murder charges against a doctor there responsible for the death of "Baby Shanice Williams" in a botched abortion.  This is a horrific story and if you want to read the graphic details, simply google "Baby Shanice" and you'll get a lot of info on it for sure.

A bigger reality from my viewpoint is that this case simply brings us once more, face to face with sin.  Of course proponents of "a woman's right to choose" can easily take those positions when they see the life of a child as a non-living, non-thinking, and not-yet-existing human, but of course that's not what we have every time an abortion is committed.  In the Baby Shanice case, the teenaged woman prematurely delivered a 23-week old infant while waiting on the abortion doctor.  An assistant rushed in and saw the born child and immediately cut the umbilical cord and put the baby in a plastic bag and then the trash can.

This is not a moral or ethical dilemma.  It's a matter of us as a nation coming face to face with sin and dealing with it.  We have to do it in our individual lives and we have to do it as a nation, because as the scripture says, "righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."

How can any nation sanction this sin and expect to be blessed by God?  Pray, Act and Choose Life.
