Subject: The Fear To Faith Cycle: Faith Becomes Evident
Job 42:5 - "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee."
When we finally make our decision to trust God to carry us out of our valley experiences, at some point along the way it happens. Our trusting and believing turns into hard evidence about what God can do. It says in Hebrews that "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen." Therefore, it's hard for us to pin down exactly when it happens, but at some point we begin to view the experience and circumstances as trials that He has brought us through. We were in the valley and though the situation may be much the same as it was, it is as though we are being carried out of the valley on His back. The valley is still there, but it's not our strength bringing us out of it, it's His.
Like Job, when our faith becomes evident, all of those clichés and scriptures and words we heard from friends are no longer just words, they are now reality for us. We now see for ourselves what trusting God produces in our lives. We no longer have to rely on the stories of Job, Abraham and others who had these faith victories, we have our own faith story to tell.
Today, have you entered this stage of the Fear To Faith Cycle? It's the stage where friends' words and opinions don't really matter anymore because you have heard and now have seen what trusting God can do. You are now "walking by faith."
