Subject:  Worthy Of Love

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Today everyone will do a little bit extra to ensure that they let others know how much they care.  Often the subjects of that caring, regardless of the gifts or acknowledgements they receive, don't feel loved.  Why is that?  I think it's simply because something really special has to happen in order for us to feel as though we are worthy of the affection that is being showered upon us.  That's why the love of God is so different.  

See God didn't wait on a special day to show His love to us.  Neither did he respond to some great thing that we did for Him to show us His affection.  The special thing that He did was "commend" His love to us while we were "sinners."  That word commend means "to make worthy."  He made us worthy of love that we all realized later that we weren't worthy of.  That's why His love is so special.

Today, you may receive special signs of love.  Remember to commend your love to others because God has commended His to us.
