Subject:  It's On Me Now

2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."

This really is a followup to yesterday's message about personal responsibility.  Every so often, you'll hear the medical community come out with a new finding about a gene that predisposes us to certain dispositions.  First they found one that may have been the link to obesity and then they found one that was perhaps the link to homosexuality.  There was one for mass murder, stealing and well they've pretty much got one for everything.

All of this flies in the face of the bible which gives each of us the responsibility for what we do each day.  As the scripture says, we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ to answer for our good or bad.

The cartoon above says it pretty good.  Psychology and psychiatry may have an answer for your "problem" that makes you feel good, but as Psalms 51:3-4 puts it, your guilt about wrong is the real reason you feel bad and you should.

Today, it's on me and it's on you.  We are responsible for our sin and all of that stuff that the world no longer wants to call sin that God still calls just that, sin.
