Today's Devotional

Revelation 2:7 - "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches..."
I already had plans to write this devotional today and when I began attempting to access all of my files from the internet which is where they are stored, I had communication problems. I have a satellite connection and there are a number of things that can stop it from working correctly so that I can receive the data that I'm trying to access. Bad weather or even trees can block the signal that we need to receive in order to access the required information. I really do hate when that happens because it seems to always come at the most inconvenient times. When the weather is bad is the time that I need access to information the most.
Well it's a good thing that it's not like that with God. You talk about a high-speed connection. However, sometimes we turn it off on the receiving end and that always keeps us from receiving vitally important information. We wonder why nothing is coming through and it's just like my computer. If the power is turned off, there is absolutely no way that I can receive the incoming signal.
God's connection is never down. Our responsibility is to ensure that we're in receive mode and we can't do that very well if we're turned off to His signal. Ensure that your antenna is up today, or in my case, ensure that your satellite dish is pointed in the right direction. If it is, you'll have all of the information you need and when you need it. Now that's broadband.
