Subject:  A Real Win-Win Situation 

Philippians 1:20 - "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death."

This was a view that I hadn't heard before.  A lady was on the radio this morning talking about someone who had recently found that they had cancer.  The person who had contracted the often deadly disease said, "well I'm in a win-win situation."  When they asked how this seemingly dire situation was a win-win, the person responded, "well if God heals me, I've got a great testimony of His amazing power to heal and if He doesn't heal me, then I go home to be with Him.  Either way, I win."  

What a perspective!  Those words could only come from someone who understands that this life isn't about our glory, but instead about His.  This person understands what Paul was talking about when he said that Christ would be magnified in his body whether by life or by death.

For us it takes a little spiritual growth to get to this point.  We're often more focused on how everything "isn't" going according to plan; job problems, money problems, relationship problems and the like, when in fact, were we to have God's view of it, every single circumstance is a prime opportunity for us to magnify Christ.  

Today realize that if you are in Christ, whatever is happening, you're in a win-win situation.  Whether we live or die, He is to be glorified and when He is glorified, we all win.
