Subject: What You Don't Know Can Cost You
Hosea 4:6 - "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."
I've been doing rinky dink web design as a kinda hobby for the past 4 years. During that same time period, I've used the same company to host my website. It was only this past week when I was awakened to the reality of being scammed. I went to see our webmaster and wanted to search with him for a new hosting company because we thought that it might be time to change. We had been paying about $70 per month recently for about 80MB of space. For most of the past year though we had paid about $200 per month because we were exceeding our storage capacity. Check this out. When we searched for a new host we eventually signed up for a service where we pay $24.95 a month and the storage capacity is unlimited. What a difference knowledge made when we actively sought it.
This often happens to us in our spiritual lives. We can spend months or even years doing things the only way we know, only to discover that God had a better way without all of the frustration and headaches that we encounter when we do it our way. There is always a way that seems right to a man but it's only through the knowledge of God that we can discern His more excellent way. We must seek God's knowledge. It's one thing to simply lose time or money, but it's all together different if you see your friends perish because of lack of knowledge of Jesus Christ.Carlen
