Subject:  How God Uses Christians

John 2:7 - 8 "Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.  And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it."

My mother was cruising along one bright sunny day on Hwy 290 in Texas.  It was a normal day like most others when out of nowhere an SUV truck came screaming up behind my mother's car.  When she looked in the rearview mirror it was too late for her to make any move so she simply stayed the course wondering if she was going to be rammed by the oncoming "monster-truck."  At the last minute, the truck swerved and flipped over several times before coming to rest in the median of the highway.  My mom then noticed the police cars in hot pursuit of this vehicle.  When mom came into the house, with her heart still beating fast, she told us what happened with such an excitement that we knew it was really traumatic.  I quickly hopped into my car and went to take pictures and video footage.  No one realized it, but my mom was a hero that day.

I thought about it later and realized, that's really the way that God uses Christians in the world.  We are unsung heroes through the work of Jesus Christ.  My mom didn't flip the vehicle, God did.  My mom didn't make the arrest of the fleeing suspect, the police did.  However, God put my mom out on the road to cause an effect that resulted in Him making all of those things happen.  Just like the miracle of the water to wine, the disciples didn't change the water to wine, but they filled the waterpots in order for Jesus to create the miracle.

Today in whatever you are doing as a man or woman of God, you are in a position to be used for God's next "big move" or even His "little ones."  No one may applaud or even know about it, but that's just the way God uses His people.
