Subject:  Yes He Can

Daniel 3:17 - "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king."

The chart above displays some interesting insight into what people believe that God can do.  It puts into perspective the relationship between doctors and God.  As you can see, most people view doctors as they are, instruments to be used by God.  That's why 57.4% said that they believed that God could save their family member even after doctors said that futility had been reached.  My only question is "what's the problem with the other 43%?"

Of course this doesn't necessarily mean that God will always deliver that "miracle" that we expect, but we are convinced and know that He can.

That's a clear lesson we get from the story of the three Hebrew boys who were thrown into the fiery furnace.  They were convinced that God "could," but they didn't live their lives on the fact that He "would."

Our God is able to deliver us from any situation that we find ourselves today.  We must remain convinced of this fact and like the Hebrew boys, not let our beliefs that He can do it be overshadowed by His providence.  As they said "if it be so."  That leaves it up to God's will and purpose.  So it might look bleak and it might not be His will for our situation, but to plagiarize a line from a current presidential candidate's campaign, "Yes He Can!"
