Subject:  What About Our Rights?

Exodus 16:7 - "And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?"

In Alabama a judge took a stand against the court itself.  An appeals court ordered him to remove the ten commandments from a building in which the judge himself had placed them.  The judge refused to move them stating that he had a right to have them there under the first amendment.  Isn't that great.  In recent years we've heard people use the first amendment to burn flags, to sell pornography and to commit all kinds of evil and lewd acts.  The court has always espoused the "rights" of those people to do those things.  Now we see someone using it for the purposes of God and the court wants to take away that right.

The judge went on to say that the ten commandments are the basis of our legal system and did not in fact constitute a violation of the church/state issue.  We have the right to freely worship God and the state (nation) can not infringe upon those rights.  As a matter of fact, that was the reason for the Revolutionary War.  There was to be no state imposed religion.  However, that's what has happened in our society.  They want the religion of godlessness imposed upon all of us, where Christians are forced to worship in privacy or secrecy.

Well it's about time we stood against them because they don't understand that they are not fighting with us, but against God.  He hears their murmuring and He will take care of a people whose heart is turned against Him.  Lets continue to stand with Him.
