Subject:  How Amazing Is God?

Genesis 45:7 - "God sent me ahead of you to make sure that you would have descendants on the earth and to save your lives in an amazing way."

This weekend I viewed a great story of deliverance.  I watched the movie "Hotel Rwanda."  What a great story although quite devastating to the almost a million people who lost their lives in another instance of man's inhumanity to man.  In this true story, one man was able to save almost 1,200 lives.  It's the story of Paul Resesubagina, but any story of miraculous deliverance always takes me back to our miraculous rescue.  Like Joseph said to his brothers in the verse above, God has also saved our lives in an amazing way and that's because He's simply amazing.  Amazing is what He does.   

Yesterday we sang these words from The Passion Worship Band's song "Indescribable."  They speak to the wonder that is God and how truly amazing He is.

INDESCRIBABLE, UNCONTAINABLE

YOU PLACED THE STARS IN THE SKY

AND YOU KNOW THEM BY NAME

YOU ARE AMAZING GOD

ALL POWERFUL, UNTAMEABLE

This is a simple devotional, but it's quite profound at the same time.  I'm amazed how God brings all of life together and how He can so easily place people exactly where they need to be to accomplish His purposes.  I'm amazed at what God has done and what He will do.  If you're reading this, you should be amazed too, because to read this means that you have been delivered from many things already.
