Subject:  From Where I Sit

Psalm 138:6 - "Though the Lord is on high, he looks upon the lowly, but the proud he knows from afar."

From where I sit, I see so many things now.  So much more than before.  I used to thing that I was the axis and the universe revolved around me.  It started quite simply with a desire to be great.  Great, but not like the greatness of who we typically think of as great men.  I didn't want fame, prestige, possessions or even position, status or many friends.

I only wanted perfection as perfect was defined biblically.  In the annals of the text I realized that I had been perfected by design, but the quiet call of perfection still beckoned each day as I lived trying to attain the walk I'd read about.

But to walk that road that leads you higher, there will be pain, there will be hardship and there will be trials.  I realize now that His desire is for us to live on a plane where this life means nothing.  to walk the mountaintops you must tread the valley; for in the valley is where you ultimately find that gold only comes through refining by fire and that being lowered is in His eyes to be higher.

So the lower my seat it seems the more I see.  The harder my path, the stronger I have become.  The more opposition, the more allies I find.  Through it all, from where I sit, I see the glory of God, because it was never really about what was happening when it was happening to me or to you.  It was really about what had been purposed by Him.  His goal then is to have us simply follow where He leads; not to live in this world caring for this life or what tomorrow may bring.  His longing for each and every one of us is to sit where He sits and see what He sees.

From where I sit!!!
